Yesterday Was a Dream

Who would've thought that a swim in March would bring about so much joy? I had been gingerly going into the pool since January, and yesterday I actually got to swim a few laps thanks to the universe providing incredible heat to worm up the waters. We have had 90 degree weather these days. Getting out of the pool, I felt like an Olympic athlete, having accomplished a great fete for an old person!
A little slump occurs now and then and when something like the opportunity to take a cool swim happens, I am invigorated! Today I feel so hopeful about life. This morning the grass looked greener, I noticed people's smiles when I said hi, and Bailey found a new treasure to bring home from his walk. The yard is filled with his treasures. Dogs are different. He may not be able to talk, but he lets me know that he loves little kids, as evidenced by his strength of going towards a little 2 year old. She was grinning from ear to ear too when she saw him!
Retirement isn't so bad after all! Glad to connect today! Between a good swim yesterday and a good walk today, there is a lot of hope in there.
