A Working Definition of Love

Today was a good day to see love in action. The activities people do in service to one another gives us a great working definition of what love is.
A woman who was taking her husband to the doctor, a friend who called to check in on another friend. A man calling a friend to set up a carpool to an event, a mother calling her adult daughter to see if they needed anything for an upcoming get together. A man tenderly kissing his wife. These are just a few of the ways we can make that love word get into action.
Friends show love to one another in so many ways. stting up a get together at a car race, sending a note after a get together, making a quick phone call after not seeing each other in a time.
Someone reminded me that is to not swat love away when it comes your way. Sometimes I see a spouse compliment the other and they are met with no response. In psychology, positive reinforcement goes a long way toward increasing the chances that the compliments will keep coming if we acknowledge with a smile or thank you when a compliment is given.
Love as an activity can be pretty rewarding if you think about it!
